Where have we been?

Sorry for the blog hiatus, folks. We have had a thoroughly busy (and thoroughly wonderful) Thanksgiving week. We started last Saturday night when my nephew Chet spent the evening with us. Kira absolutely loved having her older cousin here to play! They can play together in a way that they really couldn't when Kira was younger. Very cute.
Then on Monday Kira's friend Zeke (our friends' kid) spent the night while his parents had a night on the town. Both of them were a little confused to be together at bedtime, but they had a great time!
Then we cooked up a storm on Wednesday in preparation for our feasts (plural). Kira helped by licking the beater from the maple whipped cream. It was love at first taste. We headed to the Dickey Juniors' house with pumpkin pies and aforementioned whipped cream. We feasted with my immediate family...
... and all of my aunts, uncles, and cousins on my mom's side. It was an awesome evening, as usual with that crowd. Kira went to sleep before we actually ate, which helped her parents have more fun!
On Thursday, we headed to Gramma and Papa Al's in Augusta for a fabulous Thanksgiving meal with them, Grandpa, and Miss Gail. It was DELICIOUS and so much fun. Kira didn't eat as much as I expected, but she had quite the time in Gramma's toy cabinet while the grown-ups ate. Works for me!
Then we stayed with Grandpa. Kira loved getting so much time with him. They're watching Curious George below. We had another tasty Thanksgiving meal with Grandpa and Miss Gail on Friday. Kira finally joined in the feast... she especially loved Grandpa's stuffing! Kira loved all of the animals at Grandpa's house... dog, cats, and fish! She also loved his stuffed animals. She threw them all in her bed and asked to get in herself. Then she had quite a wild rumpus. Funny kid.

I hope that you also had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with family, friends, and food!
